Stowkeep — Privacy Policy

Stowkeep is a home inventory app: it stores the places in your home and the things you keep in them. This page explains what leaves your device, and what does not.

Your inventory

Everything works offline: places, items, photos, dates and the shopping list are stored on the device first. When there is a connection, they are also copied to Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage) under an account the app creates by itself — anonymous until you sign in. The copy keeps your inventory when you sign in or move to another phone, and it is what your household sees if you invite someone.

Account and subscription

• Account — when you sign in with your email address, we store that address; with Apple or Google we receive a user identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email address. We use it to identify your account and nothing else.
• Subscription status — whether your Stowkeep Premium subscription is active, verified against the App Store or Google Play.

Recognition of receipts, documents and voice

When you scan a receipt or a document, or add items by voice, the photo or the text is sent to our server and passed to a third-party AI service that returns the recognised items. The photo and the text are processed for that request only. They are not stored on our server and are not used to train any model. Speech is turned into text by the phone's own speech recognition; Stowkeep does not record or keep audio.

Usage statistics and crash reports

To see which features are used and where the app fails, Stowkeep sends usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase — for example “an item was added” or “a screen was opened”, never the names of your things, your notes or photos — and, on Android, crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics. They are tied to a random identifier of the app installation, not to your name or email, and are not used for advertising.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share your inventory with anyone except the people you invite to your household.

Deleting your data

Settings → Account & sync → “Delete account” deletes your account together with your places, items, photos and shopping list, on the device and in the cloud, immediately. Settings → “Delete everything” erases the inventory but keeps the account. You can also ask us to delete the account by email — see Delete your account.

Children

Stowkeep is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
